These brought me joy today, and every other day since they came into my life a fortnight ago at 9 weeks old. My 2 Labradoodle puppies Benji and Lulu. Toilet training is a work in progress 😂 I’ve been over 2 years NED from stage 4 appendix cancer and these little souls have greatly enriched my life ♥️♥️

It was so great being able to address with others on this site my fears of not outliving my precious little souls before I took them when the opportunity arose. So much great advice. That too made my day to help me make this dream a reality while being practical. Silence outside. I had better go and have a look 😂♥️

It was really really difficult taking the huge step to take on my 2 Labradoodle puppies after being 2 years NED. Instead of just waiting for a stage 4 appendix cancer recurrence.

They are now 4 months old. So amazing and naughty wee souls ♥️♥️🐾🐾🤣🤣

Before I was diagnosed I was hunting high and low for a Labrador. My dream as we had Labradors as kids many years ago. Visited dog havens numerous times and searched social media including getting approved to rehome Labradors of any age of deceased estates needing love and a home. No luck 😰

I’m so glad my friend took me around the corner in July this year to a friend of hers who isn’t a registered breeder but who wanted her pedigrees Labradoodle, Coco (with good genetics) to have a litter with a daddy with good genetics) before getting spayed.

I pay my own very high annual private health insurance premiums in Australia. It doesn’t come with employment packages in Australia. We also get Medicare.

I’ve faced SO much prejudice and judgment for not taking a non Labrador from the dog pound. It’s been really horrid 🥹

Most of the dogs surrendered in my area are staffy crosses. Poor owners and poor training. But not suitable for a first time dog owner ever. My dad did all the training when we were kids.

My pups are a huge responsibility especially when you may die early . Labradoodles are popular breeds. I feel I’ve been responsible in taking 2 little souls into my care for as long as I can give them a good home knowing they have an excellent prospect of rehoming if needed 🐾🐾🙏❤️‍🩹 I was so touched when a decades old friend - who has been helping me walk them - out of the blue offered on Sunday to take them if needed ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
