Anyone try bioidentical hormones to combat/treat osteoporosis?
I'm giving it some thought. After a bad experience with Alendronate, I'm very hesitant to start with Prolia.

I don't think it's good to to take progesterone with no womb you should check that out to be safe.
Really, you need to investigate and read about prolia, it is dreadful .it doesn't build bones and as soon as you stop you are in great danger of fracture. You then must immediately go back to taking alendronate. Please research well before starting this. The side effects are horrific.
Can you provide your improvement scores on your spine? And are you only using HRT? I am 62 and have never taken HRT. Thank you!!
You are like me I never had HRT before and I had a total hysterectomy in my 20s. I started when I was 64.
My spine scores went from 2.1 to 1.8
I take nothing else, only vitamins try and eat lots of calcium and use a Marodyne.
Thank you. My spine is -3.3 and hip -2.7. I’m still thinking Evenity and then HRT after to lock in gains. Still unsure……
Can I ask your age ?
67. I started HRT at 66
Sorry, 65!!
I also had to run the side effects after two months on that drug. Please do not go on Pro. Leah is my opinion. Only once you start it will be very hard to get off. I am doing identical, hormone replacement therapy, lifting weights, taking supplements and hoping for the best, as I’ve said before, I think the drug companies push these drugs. It’s about money. Do your research. Find a great integrative medicine doctor with lots of experience.
sorry, I am voice texting and driving
