Wow, which Sloan do you go to? I see Dr Barsky and his team in Commack. He’s young and pretty cool. He put me on Orgovyx from the getgo.
Initially I saw Dr Grossman whom I really did not care for but he left for Florida or something and I was reassigned to Dr Barsky. What you describe is exactly what I thought Sloan WOULD be, but it turned out a lot better.
And yes, no one judges us more harshly than we ourselves do. In my case I realized was never gonna be the best looking guy in the group so I decided to work at being in shape - by that I mean toned and no jiggly fat, not muscle beach with bulging biceps. So that’s what I’ve always aspired to and my wife always makes fun of me for passing up the dessert cake or the ice cream, ‘But you’re so skinny!’ She yells…
Now I EAT the cake, the cookies and whatever else I want because I have the perfect excuse for getting fat - ‘ It’s these damn hormones!’ I tell her. But of course I get on the treadmill the next day and punish myself for being ‘weak’….🤭

I go to Basking Ridge. It sometimes feels like an assembly line, though the staff are amazingly polite and kind so there is that.

I got into fitness in my 20s after living a very unhealthy lifestyle in college--bad diet and lots of drinking (but still managed to graduate with a 3.8 GPA). But the days of drinking half a bottle of tequila then getting up at 8 AM the next day and being fine are LONG gone. Now, if I even have a second beer I feel like crap for two days (not drinking while on ADT).
