Does Mayo have an echolight machine?
Has anyone had an Echolight scan that had more accurate results than a Dexascan? Are there any doctors at Mayo who are more interested in finding the cause of your bone loss/treating with food and exercise rather than pushing the drugs?

Sorry this is a bit late in reply. I was diagnosed with osteopenia shortly after my CRC diagnosis 7/21/21. 2 years later, after getting proton radiation, LAR surgery, chemotherapy and 1 liver ablation for a solitary metastasis and 2 cryoablations for a total of 3 lung nodules, my Dexascan indicated I had osteoporosis. My endocrinologist suggested Reclast, but I have declined. He talked with my radiation oncologist and we are thinking that my cancer treatments and various procedures contributed to the sudden osteoporosis diagnosis. We agreed to do another Dexascan along with a VFA in one year (which will actually be next week) and reassess my situation.
I am having the echo light done in the beginning of October and Cherry Hill New Jersey. Is anyone pro echo light? I don’t know much about it, but my daughter told me to go and see how I do compared to the DEXA scan.
