I finished my 12 months of Evenity which seemed necessary due to my severe osteoporosis. I got a 17% increase in my spine and hips made some improvement. I am now on Fosamax, lifting weights, gettign most calcium from food and doing a series of sensible spine exercises. I think the Evenity was worth it and honestly I never endured any bad side effects. Just hoping the fosamax will help keep the results. Could someone explain what P1Np is? I will have my labs soon.

Congrats on your success with evenity!

P1NP: Procollagen Type 1 Intact N Terminal Propeptide, is a bone formation marker;
CTX: Collagen Type 1 C-Telopeptide, is a bone resorption marker.

During antiresorptive therapy, monitor CTX is more important especially for oral bisphosphonates such as fosamax which has a low bioavailabilty.
