@mayblin

@awfultruth your workout routine and nutrition details are impressive! Just a thought, very high protein intake seems to have an impact on calcium kinetics. I haven't read much but there are many articles out there. Another thought, other than food sensitivities, did you know the reason for your rapid bone loss? The uptick with ctx prior to your evenity was puzzling. Did you have p1np measured with ctx? If fracture occured, your p1np would most likely have an uptick also. Considering you 'unstable' ctx backgroud, will you and your endo give the reclast dosing a second thought (using a standard dose instead of alternatives)?

AwfulTruth may be like me. I am a big protein eater and yet my blood protein level is at the bottom of the normal range. We do what we need to do and not what some article says we should.

@mayblin Hi there. Wow you do ask the questions. That's great. Let's see. On protein, the supposed danger of high protein seems to me to be yet another unproven but commonly believed "fact". A more modern view that makes more sense to me is that while in general people can get by with the old recommended amounts of protein, many people and especially older folks need significantly more protein. That additional protein helps avoid bone thinning and muscle loss (sarcopenia) which go together in causing fractures and making us age precariously.
There is a lot of stuff out there on lowering protein for health. I do not believe it. My favorite researcher on the topic is Donald Layton PhD. He has a website and he's been interviewed many time on youtube. He is easy to understand. BTW I am not suggesting that anyone model their protein intake on my strange requirements.

I do not know why I was losing bone rapidly. I consulted with Lani Simpson and did all her recommended tests and came up with nothing.
As to my BTMs my CTX and P1NP well my CTX more than tripled between 8-22 and 9-23.
My P1NP was stable longer but between 1-23 and 9-23 it more than doubled. Two months after starting Evenity my P1NP had almost doubled again and my CTX went down by almost two thirds. All my doc said of all this is good the Evenity is taking effect just as we want. I think he was just looking at the jump in the P1NP after my two shots.

I do not know what to make of my odd BTMs though I intend to do them prior to whatever is next and try to follow them as appropriate. I'm still undecided as to what to do next. If I go with Reclast I definitely intend to take a lower dose. No idea where my doc is with that. He's a Prolia fan and he says there is no point in another round of Evenity if I take Reclast. Says Reclast totally prevents future bone growth with Evenity. I think there are one or more studies showing improvements with Evenity following Reclast. Certainly with Fosamax there was a reduction in Evenity's effectiveness but going from Fosamax to Evenity they still got slightly more than half the usual Evenity benefit. I'm saying this from memory please correct me if I'm off. Regardless I've got to investigate all this more and put in all in a well organized document as I cannot keep track of all this. I'm also considering Fosamax and Actonel or Atelvia. Perhaps I could not trust those last 3 to keep my Evenity gains as I have seen several claim they did not do the job. But if they could hold the gains they would likely allow for more bone growth than Reclast would if I resumed Evenity after a year. Reclast lasting the longest and strongest in the bones and Actonel and Atelvia the least.
Since I would like to do Evenity again I'm not wanting to so "lock in" my bones such that Evenity won't work for a round two. Everything is complicated and none of it is known for sure.
