What helped me with hot flashes: What helped you?

70 y/o, started Casodex 8/1 and Lupron 8/12 then 33 rounds of radiation on 8/15. I have been having hot flashes, where my back, neck, and sometimes my face get hot but it doesn’t last very long, less than an minute, and has thus far, not been horrible. Just wondering if maybe it will get worse or if I am lucky and they just aren’t going to be that bad for me. Anyone else experience hot flashes that aren’t “that bad”?

Mine were hot from the beginning, to the point I started sweating down my forehead into my eyes, and my whole head would get completely wet.

I would also get a lot of fatigue just before the hot flash really got bad. This went on for a year until my oncologist came up with getting a depo-provera shot which stopped the problem completely, until I got on Zytiga.

@drawevets, I would stick with "lucky" until proven otherwise. How is your sleep? How are you dong in general?
