Swelling of feet and ankles, numbness
I have finished 6 rounds of chemo, but am still on nebeqa and Lupron. Now my feet and ankles are swelling and going numb. Has anyone else had this issue? It makes it difficult to walk and can't do anything that requires standing on one leg. Balance is also a big problem.

I have had this problem from taking cancer drugs, and the swelling tends to go away after a few days. When you get this in both legs, they say reduce your sodium, elevate your legs and exercise. This can be caused by taking steroids
You really should be talking to your doctor about this problem, they definitely are familiar with it
@oldfords, how are you doing? Any change in the swelling and numbness?
I finished my chemo treatment almost a year ago, had swelling in the ankles at times, still do occasionally but never had numbness. I would definitely call about the numbness. Had some wobbling and everything slowed down, when moving but you can deal with that. Can't hurt to ask. Best to all.
Not much change. I am taking a water pill and had a test to assure no blood clots. One leg is better but not much in the other leg. A friend of mine on the same treatment has the same problem with the same results.
I am still experience lower leg and foot swelling, primarily the left one, following proton therapy and 2 years of Lupron
and abiraterone + prednisone. Two things have helped me. First, wearing knee high compression stockings, or snug knee high socks ( I now use the latter) during the day only. Secondly, there are some excellent, live, online, fitness classes for seniors. The program I do is 1 hour, 3 days a week and includes 30 minutes of aerobics, 20 minutes of resistance training with dumbells and/or ankle/wrist weights (or whatever you have to use at home instead). The instructors explain how to modify each exercise for those who need to. Some participants do most of the class seated to begin with. Others are more advanced, using 15 lb dumbells and no balance aid. There is always a second instructor watching everyone on screen in case of a fall. However you can do it, exercise is supposed to help get the lymphatic system working better and is critical for all of us on ADT to reduce the risk of cardiovascular issues. I hope you and your care team continue to make progress!
I went through same six sessions of chemo with Lupron and Nubeqa. Used ice on fingers and toes during infusions. Then I had 26 sessions of IMRT. I became so weak I struggled to climb the stairs in my home. Periodic neuropathy. Helped to do physical therapy once a week with a therapist who specializes in treatment of cancer patients. Walked every day. Helped to use hiking poles. Best wishes!
