@elisabeth007 did the OP specialist tell you why HRT must be started within 5 years of menopause?

I have seen 10 years but I am not concerned with that. Unless someone can show some reliable research that is not connected with the flawed women's health initiative study I am more concerned with quality of life not quantity.

The osteoporosis specialist who prescribed low dose HRT for me recently when I was about 10 years post menopause said the 10 year cutoff was not hard and fast.
So far so good for me. I think I'm sleeping a bit better which is a big win. I'm doing a .05 mg bioidentical generic estradiol patch, plus micronized progesterone. It costs next to nothing.
