I believe I have an allergy to mannitol which caused diarrhea for me. The change in my aledronate manufacturer was the only change in my life at that time. Many pharmas use mannitol as an inactive ingredient. I was able to return to my original formulation.

Thanks for the response! That's good to know (not the diarrhea, I'm sorry to hear that!). It gives me something to be aware of when I take the different pharma refill in a few days. It seems various manufacturers of any med often use some different "inactive" ingredients in their products so as not to infringe on the patented contents of the brand name medication.
