OK. I promised to update everyone about what happened after I completed my 5 day course of amoxicillin [500mg]. So I was taking 3 capsules per day.
To begin with after the 2nd day, my bad breath had almost disappeared.
On day 5, I noticed that the mucus production of my post nasal drip had reduced dramatically.
I wouldn’t say it has completely disappeared, but it is a lot better.
I am just wondering whether a 10 day course would have completely cleared this problem?
I will do a follow up post in another week, to let you know, if things have improved or deteriorated?
So, the reason I decided to ask for amoxicillin, is because another member was cured by this antibiotic:

If this does indeed work, I will be the second person, that found relief with this medication.
One person is an exception. Two people is a pattern.
I also went down the lpr/reflux rabbit hole. Had the bravo test. They found some inflammation down by my LES. They biopsied some tissue near my LES (lower sphincter). Turns out I have reflux, which I knew I had already. However the ENT said because there was no damage up by my UES and my throat looked normal to them, they didn't think it was LPR, or at least didn't see any signs of it. Also PPIs didn't do anything for me either. I just have constant post nasal / throat mucus that seems unrelated to my reflux. I can't say whether you should or shouldn't have the bravo done, but I'd ask them some serious questions about whether it's worth trying the study if PPIs didn't change your symptoms.
