I have to drink 200 ounces of water every day due to a kidney disorder. I get dehydrated very easily. Would this water intake keep me from being able to get surgery? I know you can only put so much into your stomach. I’m a newbie and have no clue.

Definitely ask your doctor. I just has surgery Friday and I'm not having any problems getting fluids down. I'd guess to say yesterday I got at least 100 oz down. And that was just day 1 after so I imagine you could work up to 200 if your diligent.

I agree with @nrosa0311 that it is a question for your provider, either your kidney specialist or a bariatric surgeon. They may recommend specific type of bariatric surgery based on your condition.

You would have to distribute your fluid intake over the entire day, but I am sure your already doing that.

Have you contacted a bariatric weight loss location to talk about your options?
