Ankle fusion and triple arthodesis?

@nancyjegart

My situation is a bit different than those above but thought I'd reach out.
I had total ankle replacement (Salto Talarus) approx. 15 yrs ago. Went very well and lasted approx 10 yrs. ago, a good life span at that time. Has now been replaced 2 times due to loosening and bone cysts.
Last follow-up with surgeon I was informed that another replacement was not a viable solution.
Now looking at implant removeable and TTC fusion (Tibio-talo-calcaneal (TTC) fusion is a surgical procedure that fuses the tibia, talus, and calcaneus bones in the ankle and hindfoot). A bit complicated.
Would very much like to c communicate with someone in a similar situation. I have a surgeon lined up, but so far he been able to introduce me to someone dealing with TTC. I know I can't be the only person in the world facing this. Anybody? Thanks!

My ankle replacement (inbone) has lasted and served me well for about 11 years. It's still alright but issues are developing and I’m thinking about next steps.
I've met with one surgeon who is cautious about approaching this. And, he'll be retiring next spring.
Are you in Minnesota? Would you mind telling me who your surgeon is?
Your fusion option sounds complicated and challenging. I don’t know anything about that procedure. I wish you the best!
