Thanks for your reply. I send to you my feelings of support. No one knows what PMR and steroids can do to a body. I have been to an ophthalmologist and a retinologist. I have early AMD. Since steroids I have double vision at times and blurred vision at times. Now I have in my right eye cobweb floaters. No one truly understands the pathologies of PMR. I live in pain as you do every day. If anyone else has has experience with ocular disease and PMR-floaters-double vision or blurred vision from PMR and/or oral steroids please send your information.
Take care I feel your pain! I am only on 10mg of Prednisone at this time.

Hi,
I’m just beginning to realize that some of my eye issues are due to prednisone! Using a warm compress on my eyes when I first get up helps clear out the eye “boogers”. Also the eye doctor told me to use systane lubricant eye drops, which help a little. I have problems doing it 4 times a day, though, and they are not cheap!
You say you have early AMD- did they tell you to use the AREDS2 formula of eye vitamins? These are supposed to slow down the progression of this disease. I use the Bausch and Lomb PreserVision AREDS2 eye vitamin and mineral supplement.
Hope this helps!
