Diverticulitis

I am currently being treated for my 3rd episode of diverticulitis, only 8 months from my last episode.
Someone told me that he was plagued with it too but was told to try odorless garlic soft gels every day. He said it has really worked for him. Has anyone else had success with this?

I believe I have been having short bouts of diverticulitis not knowing what they were and recovered in two or three days, Two weeks ago, I had the worst pain and could not stand nor walk, Went to ER and the CT scan said diverticulitis with no abscess.
The pain got worse so I went to another ER.. CT scan said diverticulitis with perforation and abscess.
I was admitted and an interventional radiologist drained the abscess. Not fun. I have a rare e-coli and one other infection.
I'm home now on a PICC line and IV antibiotics. Surgeons keep talking me into a resection. I'm 78, have immunocompromized, and very weak. I could not deal with this alone. Has anyone gone to rehab after their resection?

Here is the way to post so that a member will get a notification of your post:

Underneath the post you want to respond to click on the "Reply" button and then post your question or comment in the box that will appear. Also, you can begin your post with their username. For example, look at how I started this post to you, I used your username with the "@" sign in front of it. After you finish your post click on "Reply."

Both of these methods will give the recipient a notification that you have responded to their post.

I posted my history on my last post. I am clicking reply. There is a box underneath of another comment and it says to post comment. Do I comment twice and post twice?

No, you should only need to reply/post once. I see that your most recent post is in the discussion group.
