Exemestane and doxycycline?

Hi..I'm 61 and post meno about 2 years. I take exemestane.
I had to take doxycycline for a possible lymes or bug bite infection.
I haven't had any post meno bleeding,but right before I had fibroid so had a log of spotting off and on.( none in last couple years).
I had read doxycycline can interfere with birth control/ hormones etc and was wondering if it entered with.my absorption of exemestane and.now things are screwed up? Anyone have any experience with this.
I AM seeing my.oncology np in 4 days for my 6 month check.up..and my. Primary care provider in a week for a physical. I finished the meds Fri. Had a pink streak sun,little bright red blood today( monday)

Hello @simba2022 . Definitely a question for the doctors. Doxy is well known for messing with hormones in youngers so I don’t see why it couldn’t give you a little boost now. Since doxy would be a short cycle, your doctors might not be concerned but I would ask. When I had to do this for tick bite, it gave me kind of a wild ride with the hot flashes. Lol
Did you have any other hormone related issues? Are you comfortable enough with either of your doctors to have this conversation with them?

Hi...I.didng have a lit of hormonal type symptoms. I was nauseated..but I also get that way from my exemestane.
I had 10.days of doxy that ended Fri night b4 labor day.
Labor day.i had a tiny bit of spotting. Maybe 4 drops total
I'll mention it to the onc ology np I see on Fri.
Mon.i go for my physical and I can talk to her..
