I am 48 and I am severely osteoporotic. I have taken Reclast 4 times. This medication dies stay in your system for 10 years. I am seeing a new rheumatologist and he is thinking of different options. Best of luck. I have tried all of bisphosphonates on the market. I have a genetic disorder called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, as well as JRA.

brcherry1350,
hi, did you have yearly injections of Reclast or more frequent. Are you one of lucky who has no side effects.
Have you had forteo in the past. It is often prescribed with osteogenesis imperfecta. I hope your rheumatologist is considering Forteo or Tymlos. They may be worried about some of the considered limits in the usefullness (and safety) of long term bisphosphonate use.
They've lifted the black box on both teriparatide and abaloparatide. Let us know what your rheumatologist is thinking.
