I am a 72 year old male,nonsmoker. My total cholesterol is 216. I
completed Echo stress test revealing a weakness in one of my heart
chambers. The conclusion was to proceed with a the Angiogram and very
likely balloon angioplasty or stent placement. I have been reading from
good medical sources like Mayo regarding the details of the procedures and
I am very fearful of the surgery risks and recovery time. I also would
appreciate any responses from someone close to my age who had this
procedure and what I should expect regarding the short term and long term
medications. I live alone so need to know if daily activities such as
driving and the side effects of the medications will be an extreme
adjustment. I am prepared to improve my diet and exercise if that is
considered realistic to maintain some quality of life at my age. I
welcome your thoughts and advice.

Thank You!
