My gallbladder works at 17% my Dr said it still works, and not really causing pain so why take out? I agree with Dr since taking out gallbladder will cause diarrhea and probably other issues

When I had Gall stones 10 years ago the Gall bladder was removed.. then when I had a bad prolonged GERD the local GI thought I needed a Nissen.. that was badly botched and Mayo GI said I had Post operative gastropanesis.. that was 2015.. since every meal is a challenge. Nerves used to empty the stomach were damaged.. But at 87 I am doing pretty well.. it's a fight to keep weight on..
I had the same surgery you had for years ago because of acid reflux. They cut my esophagus and I was on a feeding tube for three months. Now I have Gastro paresis which I’m sure is due to the surgery. I had. I have extreme constipation because I can’t eat fiber. I, like you , am struggling to finding the right foods. It Is challenging
Wow! I am not alone! I have gastroparesis and was just diagnosed a few weeks ago with EPI(my score was 53) that was after many many tests. I have started taking Creon. And I am told they are both life long diagnosis. I am depressed about this because I feel with proper surgery they could have been avoided. I made an appt with a dietitian in a few weeks to help me navigate. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!
I have Gastro paresis also due to a botched fundoplication surgery. Can you tell me something about the medicine they prescribed for you? I have not been prescribed anything except for constipation since I can’t eat fiber with Gastro paresis, the constipation is horrible.
I have mild gastroparesis, I'm on donperidone, that helps, alot, I asked my Dr if taking out gallbladder would help she said no, I just eat very healthy, and lots fiber I detox once a week with dandelion tea, just in case of sludge in gallbladder, just something I was told buy others, it seems to work.
I’m surprised you can eat fiber. I have Gastro paresis, and they have told me not to take any fiber because it takes too long to digest in the stomach. All the healthy things I used to eat are not good for gastroparesis because of that I have extreme constipation I think the best solution for me would be to go strictly on soft foods are soups.

Yes I eat fiber, because I also have mild chronic pancreatitis and mild gastroparsis, so Dr said its 2 different diets, so she said trial and error, so I've tried many different foods, and if I got a flare that food is off the list, if I feel fine then its safe, I tell you though in beginning of diagnoses, I could not eat fiber I would get pain and nausea, now I'm ok, you can't go by every thing you read online.
Why not take out the gallbladder? Do you also have a lazy gallbladder?

Wow! Can I ask who your doctor is. They sound amazing! My doctor was like you should but were trying to get a second opinion?
