Hi @devinsmom, welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect- happy to have you here! I think you will find this a great place to meet people with similar experiences and great discussions.

Here are a couple of links I found that help explain Nissen Fundoplication:

Have you been diagnosed with Hashimotos and Barrett’s Esophagus? Can you tell us more about your experiences?

I had most of my thyroid removed in 93 and the ent said I had hashimotos but didn’t do antibody test I was also recently diagnosed wit Barrett’s esophagus have been reading about parathyroid tumors and have a most of symptoms of Hyperparathyroidism am wondering about that had pth test and is at 23 and calcium test Is 9.5

Looked at links thank u now I am wondering what medications the other people in this forum are taking for their hashimotos I am only asking because I’m wondering if the medication itself causes the Barrett’s esophagus I am taking a high dose of np thyroid which always made me nauseated does anyone have those symptoms

I think I have been replying in the wrong place I have been diagnosed with Barrett’s and the ent who took most of my thyroid out said I had hashimotos but didn’t do antibody test I am on high dose of np thyroid but my doctor won’t change to a different medication also have ichthyosis on hands have gained twenty pounds on this medication and really want off of it
