Post COVID: Anyone experiencing internal vibrations?

Posted by sharho @sharho, Jul 7, 2022

I have had long covid for over two years and a symptom began sporadically during the initial seven weeks that has worsened since a second covid experience. It began as a “flutter” in my chest upon waking, lasting 5 seconds or so. It is not painful just a new sensation I have never experienced. After getting covid again in February 2022, the internal vibrations have become full body and go on for forty seconds. It is always upon waking or falling asleep temporarily during meditation and waking again. Long Covid retired me from my profession and I am not under any stress. I had a recent cardiac incident (also due to long Covid) and wore a Holter monitor. I triggered it whilst having an IV incident: definitely not cardiac induced. Has anyone else experienced IV like this?

I experienced the internal tremors, after being diagnosed with post covid syndrome. I called them adrenaline rushes. They almost completely left me, but today returned with a vengeance. I got it soon after getting up today and it’s still here! I had no break! What’s going on? I felt awesome yesterday!

I see that your post is 2 years old, however, I just recently discovered an article about this. For a whole year, dismissed basically as a mental health patient, I have been attempting to figure out what might be causing my symptoms. I currently have an acute infection, that led to an increase in all of my symptoms for the last year, and brought on the vibratory sensations that were so prevalent a few months ago. All of my symptoms hit me like a brick wall, 2 ish months after a covid infection. Fatigue, unable to walk across the room without being short of breath, tachycardia, severe uncontrolled systolic hypertension in spite of medication, numbness and tingling of my fingers, brain fog, and this totally weird vibratory sensation internally. I feel validated, finally. The blood pressure issue is persistent, sometimes low and other times, for weeks it will be high. Since sick again with covid, the crazy vibratory thing is back. Not as bad as previous but still disturbing, worse when laying down. I just recently came to conclusion I have LC and have signed up to see a Functional Medicine NP

I have not had any real help or even a diagnosis of Long Covid by medical professionals where I am. I did get a Psych consult....
I have signed up with a Functional Medicine NP. Waiting for my appointment. I hope you have had some relief since you wrote this. Until yesterday, I had never seen anything about anyone complaining of these vibrations/tremors. I really feel validated and hopefully can we can find some relief.
I have been trying some supplements, eating well, sleep, meditation, drinking lots of water, exercising when I can, decreasing anything that is stressful. Thankfully, I was able to retire.

Hi I have suffered with vibrations in my chest since the booster! It started in my thigh half hour after the injection and then travelled to my right breast area which made me question if I had a mobile in a pocket on vibration. It slowly moved to my heart area and really concerned me. I spoke with a doctor who assured me I was fine and it was anxiety and started me on propranolol. Which I’m now stuck on! I don’t believe it is anxiety, I feel it’s a side effect of the Covid booster and I have had this years, I’ve had an ecg for 24hrs and my heart is fine apparently. I hate this feeling I have daily it scares me and makes me anxious when it happens. I’m also stuck on propranolol because it slows my heart down and I don’t like the feeling of it going faster when the medication wears off so I just can’t seem to get off them.
It’s reassuring there are alit of people out there who have these symptoms and I’m not alone but it’s also scary this has happened to us. Are you still having these symptoms?

Wow can I relate I have had the same for over 3 yrs too. It started out bad at night I could feel it all over my body with these strange vibrations. I went to neurologist and after several tests he claimed I had restless leg syndrome. Gave me a prescription and I never went back. I feel it came from either the Covid vaccines or having Covid which I had both. It’s still with me at night always the strongest. Like you I have just learned to live with it. I don’t think it will ever go away.
