My husband is 2/3 through 3 years of Eligard injections. He has numbness, tingling and stiffness in his hands, perhaps carpel tunnel syndrome. Is this caused by the ADT?

ADT can cause issues in hand joints. I was on lupron for a year and had pain and stiffness in my hands and fingers. I went to a rheumatologist and got steroid shots in the most affected areas. It helped a lot but not a complete cure. I no longer shake hands and certainly do not play golf. It is livable and it is part of the new living with cancer.

Thank you. It makes sense...we wondered how he could get carpal tunnel in both hands all of a sudden. If his test is negative we will request the shots. It really interrupts his sleep...which isn't so great anyway after prostate radiation treatments!
