@ppat4pr I had a foot of diseased bowel removed on July 7 and recovery has been difficult. The spasms and frequent trips to the bathroom not knowing what they were gonna produce have been horrible.
I have a prescription for disyclomine from before my surgery and called the on-call doctor over the weekend to ask if I could take one to try to stop the 30 trips to the bathroom a day that were just producing phlegm.
I was given the OK and took one that settled everything down for the whole day. It felt like heaven.
The next day, my bowel started to move a bit, so I’m assuming that the spasms were very hard on my bowel as well and it needed to relax.
