Have any one of you had side effects from the Evenity? I have a hard time with medications. I took Fosamax and Boniva for 2 years and started loosing bone in my jaw. Also I started growing Cartlidge in my femur that could turn to cancer. So they made me stop. Now 15 years later I have -4.4 score in my spine and it hurts all the time. They want me to start Evenity. But I am worried will I have reactions like the other drugs? I go to Mayo Clinic in Phoenix/Scotsdale. It can cause heart issues and I have already been dealing with heart Afib and ablations for that. Just really want to hear how the rest of you are doing. I just turned 70 and was really enjoying my life until a year ago.

@gma14fun I have afib and did Evenity and Tymlos w/out heart issues. I get the concern but studies on cardiovascular risk (ARCH and FRAME) showed no difference in cardiovascular risk between Evenity and placebo but small difference with alendronate which may be protective, according to the narrative of the study.
Do you know why your spine hurts? Do you have fractures? Osteoporosis does not cause pain, according to my doctors. I have a lot of pain from spinal fractures.

I have not had any side effects after 4 injections. But I also don't have any heart issues or auto immune issues either. And I did not have a negative reaction to Fosamax.
My bone specialist did send me for a cardio checkup though.
