I was in a dark place, thankfully I'm still here.
It all became too much, after a long battle trying to get answers and not getting anywhere my mind went to a place it had not been before. I did feel thirsty at the time but I do think there was a conscious effort to harm myself. I consumed 4 and a half litres of water in 40 minutes. This was in the morning and by 5pm on the night I had a seizure and was rushed to hospital in an ambulance. I spent a week in intensive care. I don't recall much of it due to sedation. I suffered from cerebral edema and high white blood count. Thankfully all of which were corrected by the medical staff. It's taken a while to get back to health. I'm sorry for the delayed update to anyone who was concerned. I did receive some mental health support along with medication. The best of which I now have a genetic consultation booked for August. Thank you for your support as always, it's much appreciated.

Just a quick update; the train has now been booked.
It is a 7 hour round trip for a 45 minute consultation, the things we do for our health =)
I've managed to arrange all my documents and sent off some scans to his secretary.
Interestingly, I've noticed in my notes that during my sertraline prescription my face changed the most.
Looking at the internet it seems to deplete the body of calcium and vitamin D along with impacting bone density and bone formation.
Do you think this is a possible cause?
@change25 It is so good to hear from you and to know that you’re OK. Please give us an update on your doctor visit when you can
change25, So good to hear from you. I am so grateful that you got an appointment. I am praying you get some much needed answers from this visit.
Sometimes we can be in that lower 1% that has a reaction to a medication that other people do not have. I don't have the answer for you on the Sertraline (Zoloft), but, I pray this doctor you are seeing does.
There is hope my friend. Praying for you this a.m. Keep us all posted on your progress. We care. Blessings & Prayers.....
Thank you, it is much appreciated. I do have a good feeling regarding this consultant. I've looked through his reviews and he seems to be the first Dr to provide people with answers after previously seeing multiple specialists - fingers crossed 🤞
Good news!
The geneticist has confirmed that I do in fact have a connective tissue disorder.
He's concerned that I could have the vascular variant. He's sent a blood test for genetic testing that should take around three weeks. Finally some answers!
@change25 I’m really glad that you had success with the geneticist! Did he give you a recommendation of what type doctor could help you? We’re still rooting for you!
Once he has the test results he's going to send a detailed letter to my Dr regarding further investigations and treatment options.
