What comes after Evenity?
I have been been on Fosamax for 6 years total starting in 2009 with various drug holidays during the years. I was on Raloxifene for 3 years. Started Evenity in June. What are people taking after the year of Evenity is up?

No rebound effect. It's not uncommon to experience flu-like symptoms for 3-4 days following the infusion. Some people have found it to be pretty intense. Some don't experience it at all. It's like with all the bone meds, there are some side effects that you may or may not experience yourself.
A while ago, I think I read that after one year (12 monthly injections) of Evenity, it's possible to take another med to lock in the gains for the next year, then resume Evenity for 1 more year of 12 monthly injections. Has anyone done this? If so, what med did you go on for the year in between? Then after that 3rd year, what medication did you go on?
Mine said a month also but starting Prolia 1st for the year then Reclast .
Curious if you found an answer to this.
No, I haven't. I wish I could remember where I heard or read this, but haven't found it. If I do, I'll post it on here.
vrgarden,
I did a year of Evenity, then had an infusion of Reclast.
Will have another Reclast infusion next year.
There is a post from yesterday about bones from the bone conference in Santa Fe. Great stuff.
My doctor started me on alendronate after 12 months Evinity.
Had you taken a bisphosphonate prior to evenity?
Thanks - any issues or adverse effects with that drug?
