I have the same issue with both left and right scapula and have ping-ponged from orthopedists to neurosurgeons to neurologists for years with no real help yet. My current neurologist is testing for Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy because the muscle wasting extends beyond the scapular region. Like you, PT has been minimally helpful. The pain level is steadily increasing and I take tramadol to try to keep it at a tolerable level.
