Creondave,

What tests did you have to diagnose enzyme issues? Are they pancreatic enzymes? OOPS!! I just re-read your post and you stated it's pancreatic enzymes. I just found out that I have partially fatty infiltrated pancreas, from a report of a CT w/contrast. No dr bothered to tell me anything. My endocrinologist, dealing with Hyperparathyroidism, incidentally saw it, tested my insulin blood levels and stated that my pancreas was fine. In your experience, is this enough to know that all of the other pancreatic enzymes are fine
Thanx, ShelleyW
. 😱 can this affect your brain? You can stop lol at me now 🤯 I am jk.
Have you tried or heard anything about the new probiotic SEED,that is being widely advertised now?

Didn't have a test--the MD just knew and the meds helped me put on weight--mine was due to two abdominal surgeries. I haven't heard of SEED--what is it?

"No dr bothered to tell me anything. " Wow that's rough.

I had the fecal elastase-1 or FE-1 test. I repeated it and with all the symptoms (increasingly difficult to control diarrhea, gas, weight loss, weakness), it made sense that I had EPI. Other scans pulled out a tumor, other blockage, or pancreatic cancer.

I am not sure of the connection between insulin blood levels and EPI, but I was tested for diabetes and am fine on that front.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have another questions!
