Living in the desert I see any tree as a treasure! I am very thankful for everything that was planted here since the house was built 24 years ago. We have three saguaros, four sumac trees, two Palo Verdes, mulberry tree, three desert willows, chase tree, two pomegranate trees, an orange tree, a lime tree, Arizona ash tree, Texas mountain laurel tree, and several other trees I haven’t identified yet. Lots of bushes like lantana and Red Bird of Paradise and several blooming vines. Our property is slightly smaller than half an acre, so the vegetation is covering most of our front yard and backyard. Some trees and bushes re-bloom during summer monsoons. I feel truly blessed when I look out the window or go outside.

Wow, the previous owners really turned the property into a lovely oasis! I can imagine the excitement when you identify yet another plant or blossom!
My BFF moved to New Mexico a few years ago from northeast Wisconsin. We’re used to lush green vegetation and water! LOL She’d been an avid gardener with a hope on the annual garden tour. Now she gets excited when a small pot of flowers makes it through a couple of months.
I’m so happy you’ve found your little slice of heaven out there and enjoying your second life after transplant. ☺️
