moudsie80,
I have tons of stuff wrong in my GI/Colon. I had to use a suppository for extremely violent morning sickness, wow, that was 45 years ago, I am just an old lady now. The suppository did burn some, so I coated it with Vaseline, that really helped. You mentioned splitting your "capsule " in half. I have been told never to open up a capsule before taking it. The capsule needs to stay in tact, in order to survive the gastric juices/enzymes that are released when we put anything in our mouths. I don't know what medication you are taking but:
Can you get it in lower doses or get it in tablets that can be broken in half? I have no clue if this could soothe your stomach, but when mine burns for a multitude of reasons, I make a small hot chocolate drink. I use the vanilla and chocolate protein premixed cartons at Costco. I go light on the chocolate portion. It's really soothing.
Now for your laugh of the day... I read your title as Rectal Robotics and made an audible UGGHHH groan.😳

I hear you on stomach things--mine started with ulcers and that's how I had to have 3/4's of my stomach removed and then the gall bladder removal. I should have said suppository--not capsule -- but sometimes I just can't think of the right word (I too am old--80). I thought of cutting the that in half--but when I take them out of the freezer I have like 2 minutes to get it out of the package and into where it goes as it starts to melt. The burning was in my stomach and I popped a omeprazole and ate and felt much better so I guess I just have to let my system get used to it.
