Another thing to keep track of is your insulin (if you use it). I use an insulin pump. The previous time I filled and changed the pod I mistakenly put the vial of insulin in the cupboard with my other supplies, instead of the fridge where I usually keep it. On the next pod change I started running 300 + blood sugar. No amount of correction boluses helped and I was approaching 400. My husband asked if there was something wrong with the pod. Then I remembered I had filled it with warm not fresh insulin. Duh! I ended up wasting part of a vial of insulin. My bad!
