Apparently they are different. I was told by a doctor that the GI treats the entire GI TRACT, from esophagus to anus.
Where as the colorectal drs specifically treat the small and large intestines. The larger portion of their patients have intestinal/colon cancer. I have not followed up on it, for myself yet.
