I am looking into using CBD oil for nerve pain relief. I am not currently taking any prescription meds, but I do take a variety of supplements, including a multi-vitamin, extra vitamins D3 and C, omega 3, a baby aspirin, curcumin, turmeric, berberine, and magnesium. I also take melatonin and diphnhydramine (for sleep).
I should note that I have stage 3 melanoma, which is partly the reason for all of the above.
Does anyone taking CBD use some or all of these?
Thanks!

I seriously injured my lumbar muscles by lifting heavy jumping gas powered equipment for 5hrs. It wasn’t even my job. The muscles are all scar tissue and my Dr. told me as arthritis sets in, the nerves won’t move freely and cause lumbar pain. He was right as 12 years ago it started burning. My son lives out of state and claims UPS left a package for someone on his steps. He found “Charlet’s Web” CBD oil that was $300+ a bottle and sent it to me. It never helped or changed pain like taking fish oil. I can’t speak for issues like stage 3 melanoma as I may develop that as sun screen in the 70’s was dirt! Buprenorphine/Naloxone is used for opioid dependency issues. A patch may help, but it blocks brain receptors that opioids work on. Side effects is teeth decay, back pain. I have a jello film under the tongue so a patch will not affect teeth. A pain management specialist may have a co-pay but would perhaps best for your issues. Some take the melatonin with a 5mg diazepam to sleep. I get 6 hrs at best. Hope the best for the best!

@birdman518 CBD alone will most likely not effect your nerve pain. I have chronic pain syndrome, spine stenosis, peripheral neuropathy and use buprenorphine patches as my main pain control. I use CBD and THC to control my breakthrough pain so I don’t need Percocet. Out of curiosity why are you taking melatonin and Benadryl for sleep? It may work for you but long term use is harmful to your body.

This might sound funny. But I don't know what type of doctor to go to precisely diagnose my Pain How do you know you If you have chronic pain syndrome? Who prescribes you the Patches? I had severe lumbar stenosis and And Add decompression surgery Now my main symptom is throbbing calf muscles. I went to a neurologist who gave me an injection of botox in the calf muscles. And waiting to see if that will work.

RSO is the best I have found as a CBD advocate this has full spectrum (indica, high CBD, CBN). I put the oil in my belly button, so the effects last and I don't have to ingest it. I have constant chest/vessel pain and it works for me. But everyone is different, trial and error is the only way to know what works for you.

I see a Pain Management Dr. My Mayo Neurosurgeon told me to go to see one. (I am in CA.). They will help you long term, maintenance wise. If you are near the Mayo, they will have very good ones there.

Thanks for the kind reply I didn’t have any positive relief with CBD, so I can’t say. But I hope the best for you and may God steer you to a Doctor who can help! Blessings.

I tried CBD oil under my tongue and it only made me feel a bit foggy headed and nauseous. But I kept the bottle and years later, in desperation, rubbed it on skin where I had terrible pain from shingles. It immediately stopped the burning electrical type pain that comes with that illness. So then I started using it to rub into my skin over wherever I am having pain. And it works! I use the balm also but I believe the liquid works better. Perhaps that has to do with concentration. CBD oil was made legal under the Farm Act many years ago I understand, so as long as it has only a minimal of THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, it is legal. However, I did read that some states have rescinded that law and don’t allow even that. I am not sure about which states. I order from a company called Deep Relief in California and so far have not had any problems. It is very helpful although not as easy as a pill. But it can make the difference between bearable and unbearable pain, and with opioids on the chopping block it is important to know about.

What type of oil did you use. I currently have shingles for the last month and half. I take opiates but don't want to. I also just got diagnosed with Lung Cancer. Any help you can provide. Would be helpful.

Here is their website. I used the strongest one as I recall. I don’t know how long it takes to get to you by mail so if there is a store in your area I would go there. I hope I am not leading you to something that doesn’t work for you but it absolutely worked for me. Good luck! I will be thinking of you. Shingles is terrible! Gayle
