PSA at 74…. What are options?

Eating can still be joyful — lord knows we deserve some joy in our lives after everything we're dealing with. Just eat a well-balanced diet in reasonable portions, and save desserts and fast food as "sometimes" treats. Bon appetit !

Obviously, if you have another condition like diabetes or celiac disease, you'll be following the guidelines for that.

But from everything I've read (as a layperson) — including Dr. Walsh's book — there's no "Prostate cancer diet" or set of supplements discovered so far that make any proven difference in progression or long-term survival.

It seems that a healthy diet for us is exactly the same as a healthy diet for someone without cancer. The "healthy" part just matters a little more, since many prostate-cancer treatments can increase the risk of diabetes and heart disease.
