Hi,
Please let me add that not all Bariatric surgeries are for weight loss!!!
I had for Gerds and reflux for 25 years and 3 failed surgies. Obesity is not the only reason for Bariatrics

I believe it is gastric bypass. Bariatric the word means relating to or specializing in the treatment of obesity. You are, however; correct this type of surgery is done for various reasons.
