Evenity and heart
Has anyone had a fast or irregular heart beat after Evenity? I am going to have the injection tomorrow. Recently both COVID and Paxlovid caused rapid and irregular heart beat so I am feeling vulnerable. Thanks!

@teb used BHRT to lock in her Forteo gains:). I’m not sure of others.
Good morning 8fish. I don’t have a personal opinion, but my endocrinologist did tell me that Reclast is more effective than the pills, but that was in a discussion about a stand alone treatment plan. Having said that, I’m on Osnuvo (teriparatide, Canada’s biosimilar to Forteo), and she suggested Reclast after. I said I may prefer to go on Actonel weekly pill and she said that would be okay if I can tolerate it (I didn’t do well with Fosamax 15 years ago so I stopped taking it after one pill!).
yes, I went on HRT after my two years of Forteo as my drug of choice to maintain my gains. I have been on a low dose of .025 transdermal estradiol for 5 years and have been pretty stable. I'm increasing my dose to .05 moving forward as there have been some minor changes as of my last dexa.

5 ReactionsPlease keep us posted on your Dexa scans. I’m leaning toward starting Evenity for one year and then HRT vs a 3yr post protocol of reclast (zoledronic acid). My T scores are -3.3 spine and -2.7 left hip.
Same happened with me after 5th got palpitations. After one week diminished to evening only. I called doctor inquiring if best to stop and she stated there is no case studies or evidence palpitations are a side effect
Previously she also stated most of the rebuild of bone is first 6 months so I really think I will stop as want to protect the heart
Good decision. It took me several months before I felt better after stopping Evenity.
Hope all goes well with you too.
