Four or five years ago when I began taking Prozac which is also a SSRI like Lexapro, I began having tremors about a month after being on the medication. It was extremely frightening and the doctor that put me on Prozac didn’t connect the dots that the Prozac was causing it. I happened to call in to the practice one weekend because I was so scared and thankfully got ahold of a doctor who told me it was probably the Prozac and to stop taking it. Two or three days later the tremors were gone. I am extremely sensitive to antidepressant side effects and have tried many of them over the years but was unable to tolerate the side effects. I am 70 years old and although I have always been sensitive to medicines, it’s getting worse as I get older.

I told my Psychiatrist. She said it can’t be the medicines to get with my neurologist. My neurologist said that they can cause shaking and tremors. I called the Psychiatrist this morning and she has not return my call.

My Psychiatrist finally called me. I told her what my neurologist
Said about Burspone and tremors. She still said it can’t be but gave me instructions on how to wean off. I’m praying the tremors stop. Will keep updates.
