Gussie, YEP‼️you are so right, we are all different, foods are different, as helen1000 says, the labels are different. Even if we only pick on glutens and sugars, we will find a billion different ones, find them in the strangest foods and additives, labels we should be able to trust, because they are mandated by the FDA, 🤪 are different. Then add in the professionals who advocate online, even our own trusted personal drs give us incomplete or just dead wrong answers. What a quagmire we are all in. You don't have Celiac but gluten bothers you, I have Celiac and can eat gluten with no problems, but I don't. In a way, the fact that your body reacts to tell you, DONT eat this or that is a great thing. My body hates me, so it doesn't react to help me out. You keep doing what helps you and I will just quit eating 🤪Shelley
You are right Gussie. Even gluten free soy sauce may contain some ingredients make people feel uncomfortable. I prefer mindful eating, that is to say, when you eat, you pay attention to your gut feeling. Then you identify ingredients not fit you. Sometimes you can't trust those commercial vendors even though they label all ingredients.
Maybe certain sugars in carbo or fruits trigger IBS-D? I avoid rice but brown rice works for me. You can use cauliflower to replace regular rice, or other grains to replace rice?
Some sugars are simple sugars, some sugars are multiple sugars, like those in legume and potato. Try to eat multiple sugars instead of simple sugars like in rice or fruits. See whether your symptoms get improved.
