@sailaway

My husband has had rising levels of cobalt and chromium and inflammation of hip joint for the past 4-5 years. (He is now 82). He resisted having the surgical revision and is now living with discomfort, pain, mental cloudiness, as he feels he has aged out of having major surgery. Prayers for you as you make the decision which is right for you!

I commented above about this cobalt issue, seems some surgeons not too concerned if levels low.. symptoms of metallosis tho important, heart, retinas, skin, neuro..
What is your husband's level?
I have chromium also but low
I understand why your husband reluctant to do revision, me too, im 76 and kind of think " how many years left?" You know??
Its huge surgery and I've done both hips , need knee soon too.. can't really do hip if knee always locking up, hard for rehab!
Need to think long and hard on this right?
Good luck!!
