Fosamax side effects: Anyone had a racing heart rate?

My grandson was given Fosamax when he was 16 years old because of a broken bone and he took it for 4 years. He started having heart racing problems while on it. After the Fosamax was discontinued the heart racing continued and he has had stress fractures in his thigh. Has anyone had such side effects with Fosamax?
