I had HDR. Brachytheapy in June of 2023 at Mayo Rochester For me the recovery was quick. I did feel fatigued for a day following each procedure but by the end of the week I was back to a light workout. I had mild issues with urine flow which improved with the meds within 30 days. PSA is dropping and feeling good.

I'm 71 and felt about 80% rested & recovered just 3 days after my HDR Brachytherapy session (March 2024).
FYI, my session was likely more involved than yours will be. That's because mine also included SBRT preparations -- SpaceOar, fiducial markers, etc.
Anyway, depending on your age & physical condition -- and how well you tolerate the procedure -- I'm guessing it's likely you'll recover a bit more quickly than I did.
Also, my recovery time was likely affected by only ~3 hours sleep the night before. And my schedule...
-- awake at 4 am to do necessary at-home prep
-- drive to UCLA for 6 am check-in
I tolerated all procedures & meds quite well, no complications. And I could stand & walk steadily about an hour after everything was finished, so was allowed same-day discharge around 2:30 pm.
Good luck ngus44. And best wishes for a speedy recovery.
My treatment consisted of 2 sessions 2 weeks apart. I was 3+4 =7. My PSA before treatment was 9. The decipher test came out at low risk. One year post surgery I was at 1 and should continue to drop over the next 6-12 months.
