Was just put on Ozempic for diabetes, weight is not an issue.
Been a 'gestational' diabetic for over 25 years. Was on insulin, then pills now Ozempic and pills. Female, 76 and my weight is not an issue. Three weeks have passed, no side effects so far. Has anyone experience to share. Thank you

I must be very lucky. Almost 15 yrs ago I did have pancreatic and gall bladder issues. However it was complications due to a hiatus surgery, Soon after gall bladder was removed, surgery on pancreas Same time appendix burst and was removed, Since then have been careful eating fatty and spicy food. Since talking ozempic have not had any issues. Even DR at last week's visit seemed surprised but happy with my results. I start ,5 this week, keeping fingers crossed. However in past had to stop Jardiance, did not agree with my stomach, Thank you and I hope you soon feel better.
@patti50, WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND told you to do 1? the highest dosage Ozempic goes is .05mg., you'd have to inject twice to get the 1mg. the Pancreas is on the right side. your Gallbladder goes just about below or behind your right nipple to the left. i know that's where my scar goes from removal of a part of the Pancreas and the whole Gallbladder.
you may very well have a gallstone . you know you CAN STOP THE Ozempic yourself. i did. i stop meds if i feel they are harming me. then i go to the ER to be checked out.
IT'S YOUR BODY AND HEALTH we're talking about. do what you feel is right for YOU.
you're right. there are good benefits. but not everyone is the same. @danny5
I was prescribed 0.35, then. 0.5 than 1 mg than 2mg than back down. As working in a Dr. office I should have known left side meant side of the gallbladder not the left side as she kept saying.,,I took myself off of it several times and then finally completely. It through me in an anorexic state which I have a history of and she knew. My son had died and I was in the process of dealing with that so I let things go, I should have gone with my gut feeling and not being comfortable with the prescriber.
I have the 1 mg and 2 mg prescriptions still so they do prescribe in higher amounts.
then i have never seen the Ozempic pen with 0.35 and 1mg. or 2mg. on them. does it come in a red & white box? with a light blue pen? or what does it look like. we are talking Ozempic, right? not Wegovy? there is a third one but i cant remember it's name. i think it starts with an R. great now i'm stumped. @danny5
@patti50, i just Googled it again. you're right about the dosage of Ozempic. BUT, those dosages are for TYPE 2 with meltelus. i'm TYPE 1B with meltelus. < spelling is wrong.
but i'm not sure what the TYPE 1B means. from what i understand it's uncommon. NOT everyone is TYPE 1B.
and Patti, i am very sorry about your son. but if you are off of Ozempic. i hope. maybe you be able to get a little more healthy from the Anorexia. GOD bless you. @danny5
I need to get rid of all the pens. I jar to put them in the trash and someone gets ahold of them.
@patti50, i put all my sharps equipment into those red Sharps containers. double bag it and get rid of it through the garbage company. but not all garbage companies let you do that. if yours don't, check with your hospital and see what they recommend. @danny5
I think I will get rid of them through there.
