What research/treatment is there in immunotherapy for prostate cancer?

Has there been any work done on Prostate cancer in the area of Immo therapy. I understand there have been great results in other cancers

Yes there has been work done, although prostate cancer has responded less well than some other cancers. It seems to work for people whose prostate cancer has specific genetic mutations.

My husband has started immunotherapy treatment--he has had one infusion of Keytruda. He has stage 4 prostate cancer, Gleason 9 (4+5), mets to bones, lymph nodes and bladder. His genetic tests show high microsatellite instability (MSI-H), one of the markers that indicate immunotherapy could benefit him. I'm interested in insights from anyone else with experience with this treatment.

My situation is very similar beginning with the MSI-H tumor

My story is exceptionally complicated and so I’ll refrain from telling you here and wait to hear from you to see if you’re still out there

The short version is, I had a complete response in my prostate tumor, but the pembrolizumab been approved to treat my small bowel tumor. So in my small bowel tumor was completely eradicated, we stopped the Pembro against my wishes and the prostate cancer came roaring back.

I hope your husband is doing well and I hope you’re still out there. I’d love to hear from you to see how he has responded to the Pembro. If you do respond and are so inclined, I would love to hear what his TMB is. Mine is 51. I think my small bowel tumor which had a complete response to immunotherapy was in the high 70s like 77 or 78 something like that.

Do you have actual experience with VITUS? I found their offerings somewhat questionsble. Highly experimental with little support in terms of RTCs published in peer-reviewed journals. And super expensive.

Hi,
We are from the UK and are trialing Peptide Cell Immunotherapy. There is a little research ,but what we do see seems positive. It is not available in the UK so travelling to Lithuania to receive treatment. I would be interested to know if any of our friends across the pond have had this treatment.
