Thank you for sharing, this is helpful.
Could you please share what Grade was your prostrate cancer and if you had surgery to remove it or you took the radiation path? Also, was the kidney cancer found via a CT scan? seems it wasn't surgically removed either and you just received radiation as a treatment for it, was that the case?
The cases of concurrent cancer that i have read about on the internet have led to one time surgery of removal of the prostrate and kidney (partial or total as needed).
In my husband's case, the Doc ordered a bone scan and a CT scan, the abnormality in the kidney showed up in the CT scan. As mentioned earlier we are going to see the surgeon to discuss treatment options day after tomorrow, we have yet to discuss the Kidney abnormality with them.

Grade of prostate cancer was 7, and the only treatment I had was 42 low dose radiation treatments. Kidney cancer was discovered by CT scan after blood in urine started. I opted against surgery for both prostate and kidney because of my age. I am being treated for kidney cancer with infusion of Keytruda every three weeks; I also had 5 high dose radiation treatments to stop bleeding from malignant kidney cancer which has been successful. Last CT scan two weeks ago showed no spread of kidney cancer and slight reduction in size of lesion.
