I have anxiety so Sativa and THC hits me hard. I think my tolerance has changed over many years and now older small amounts have a terrible effect on me. It could be what my body has become use to what to expect. I take just under a mg. of Stanley Brothers 20-1. Its a quality Indica High CBD strain with THC. So that is what I take and feel just fine. I just took the same amount of Stanley brothers 4-1 and am uncomfortable. So When I take the 4 to one I will just take 1/3 of a mg. tincture.
I would suggest that looking for scientific results to find out if a medication or treatment works. Aneccdotes from other folks are famously unreliable. Good luck!
I am looking into using CBD oil for nerve pain relief. I am not currently taking any prescription meds, but I do take a variety of supplements, including a multi-vitamin, extra vitamins D3 and C, omega 3, a baby aspirin, curcumin, turmeric, berberine, and magnesium. I also take melatonin and diphnhydramine (for sleep).
I should note that I have stage 3 melanoma, which is partly the reason for all of the above.
Does anyone taking CBD use some or all of these?
Thanks!
@birdman518 CBD alone will most likely not effect your nerve pain. I have chronic pain syndrome, spine stenosis, peripheral neuropathy and use buprenorphine patches as my main pain control. I use CBD and THC to control my breakthrough pain so I don’t need Percocet. Out of curiosity why are you taking melatonin and Benadryl for sleep? It may work for you but long term use is harmful to your body.

Thanks, I am still looking for ideas for pain control. I will look at the buprenorphine patches, which I am not familar with. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is for sleep. I take Melatonin as an adjust for cancer (melanoma). Which one are you saying is harmful? Can you send a link? Thanks!

Just curious, I you've done some research if cbd/thc oil is better for the body long term than melatonin.
Have both and not sure which one is safer long term.
There's some reading online about melatonin for neuropathy pain.
Mainly using for sleep, both works, just not sure with which to stick long term
Any help is appreciated 🙏

Actually obtaining CBD oil tincture is readily available from outside of Pa. I buy from FiveCBD.com and they offer a variety of CBD products.

Try these too before you start using CBD.

@birdman518 here’s a start on Benadryl for sleep as a problem. If it’s really an issue for you see a sleep specialist, read the book The Sleep Solution by Dr. W. Chris Winter, listen to podcast Sleep Unplugged with Dr. Winter.

Thank you so much! My goal is to live as naturally as possible... currently on *no* prescription drugs, and I will read these carefully.
