I did not have prostate and kidney cancer at the same time, but shortly after the completion of my 42 radiation treatments for prostate cancer that was completed two and a half years ago I was diagnosed with kidney cancer a little over one year ago and am currently receiving Keytruda treatments for it. I also recently completed the five treatments of high dose radiation to stop bleeding from cancer lesion in kidney; it was successful. So the two cancers kind of blended together, and it may very well have been that since the two were so close in time that I actually had early kidney cancer while being treated for the prostate.

Thank you for sharing, this is helpful.
Could you please share what Grade was your prostrate cancer and if you had surgery to remove it or you took the radiation path? Also, was the kidney cancer found via a CT scan? seems it wasn't surgically removed either and you just received radiation as a treatment for it, was that the case?
The cases of concurrent cancer that i have read about on the internet have led to one time surgery of removal of the prostrate and kidney (partial or total as needed).
In my husband's case, the Doc ordered a bone scan and a CT scan, the abnormality in the kidney showed up in the CT scan. As mentioned earlier we are going to see the surgeon to discuss treatment options day after tomorrow, we have yet to discuss the Kidney abnormality with them.
