Yes. When I asked my oncologist about that, she replied that they noticed that was common with Whipple patients and they don't know why. It's been nearly 5 years for me and the one thing I DID do upon discovering my pancreatic tumor was to quit drinking any alcohol. I feel good and save lots of money! 😁

I’m with you… I quit drinking alcohol after my Whipple surgery just in case the cancer returns in the Liver. I want my liver to be as strong as possible for anything to come.

Thank you for sharing your details. My sister had Whipple in Dec 24 and in Feb 25 has learned of early onset NAFLD. Is there anything you have found to be helpful in managing liver levels? Did it ever level out for you?
