What brought you joy today?
If you've been living with cancer for a while, you know it's not all gloom and doom. Where did you find joy today? I'll start:
1. Working in my garden.
2. Meeting my daughter for tea.
3. Home-made pizza for dinner.
4. My spouse (always).
5. Some interesting online discussions.
6. Rereading a good novel.

Today: breakfast with one of my former roommates from the physio Rehab Centre. We supported each-other through some tough times for a month and a half. He brought joy and enthusiasm to every day, including the ones where I had trouble finding them.
Having my property management company to pay for motel room overnight while repairs are done.
Because of the cancer and the dust associated with the repairs.
In today’s world there ARENT many good who care.
I was feeling very sad last night and my 70 pound dopey dog came and put her head on my shoulder as if she knew and was comforting me. I could feel the love coming off of her and it really helped.
My joy today came from an X-ray appointment. They took me as soon as I arrived, and I was in and out of the hospital so fast that I was able to go back home on the same transit fare. It's a little thing, but it makes me feel like the universe is on my side today.
(Also, the test results are back and they're all good.)
Going for a walk in the sunshine down by the sea ❤️
That sounds lovely, @shivey. I felt joy just reading about it!
Today is the first day I'm medically cleared to ride my bicycle again. It's my favorite exercise. I got up at 6 and was out on the bike by 6:15 (spent the weekend getting it ready). I rode to my favorite path in the woods, then to a smaller town where I stopped for coffee, had a brief chat with a stranger (my goal is to talk to someone new at least 3x a week), then rode back home. My legs are already sore from not having ridden in three months (have walked and hiked, but the muscles are slightly different) but it was SO worth it!
Waking up!
Today I walked 3 miles to my co-working space, moved a few hundred pounds of gravel and paving stones in the back yard, and spent 1/2 hour at the weight bench. Next week I'll be at the family cottage, getting up at dawn every day to canoe solo around the lake with the herons and loons.
This sure ain't our grandparents' stage-4 cancer.
I helped a man with MDS , I gave him 3 units of blood and platelets and he left feeling better.
