Sounds like you are on the right road. I've had both hips replaced and in the state, you are in the only thing that will help is surgery. Actually, being able to sleep only sporadically provides the big push you need to have it done.
To date I have had 8 replacement surgeries, none are repeats. Rest and amuse yourself as best you can until the date arrives. Good Luck!
