I got second opinion I think it was 5-6 months out …. My original dr was giving up just saying wait a year go in and clean up scar tissue …. For me that did not sound right . I explained to him felt like there was to much in there that is why could not bend he would not listen ….. I found my own water therapy had his office write script for I tried everything myofascial release …during water therapy pt suggested second opinion. Best thing did for myself … my first appointment with original after surgery x-ray one look he knew was to big was not going to get any more flexion …. Set up revision date for one year because you have to wait one year …. Like I said still stiff and sore but flexion so much better… recovery this time was so much easier because my body was not fighting against it … I know exactly how you feel so frustrating some dr don’t listen … but some do so don’t give up it does get better ….good luck

There is not enough information to research this issue. My PT team hint that this is my issue. Did you get good numbers, but couldn't keep them? I have also been massaging my scar area, as to alleviate any potential ongoing scar issues (don't know if this really helps). I have been moving, icing, exercising ... right from the start- just super hard. I sometimes wonder if too much cranking and exercise is potentiating the issue.
I have a 2nd opinion virtually from a credentialed orthopedic surgeon per my insurance soon. I need to explore all options for sure. My original surgeon casually remarked at the 6 week that he could do a MUA when I was to have my second knee done- I didn't understand the ramifications of this at the time. I have since learned how grueling this is, and would render 2 knees down and starting over all over again, and that it doesn't work for too-large components. He didn't even look at the PT report.
So, you worked on your knee for a year before the revision? So much pain and agony and effort. Wow. Revision surgery sounds scary as well. How did you seek someone who would/could do this? Does first surgeon hold any responsibility for the $$$, time and pain involved? Do you take it up with insurance? I've always have been healthy and have stayed away from all of this...
Thank you for your comments- they were very helpful.

This says it all "recovery this time was so much easier because my body was not fighting against it ". My goal was to do one, then the other right away, so I could get on with my life. Man! What a major fubar set-back.
